AP Poll vs Harris Poll

Although there's not a lot of data to work with, this might shed some light on how much better (or not) it would be if the AP and coaches polls did not come out until late September or early/mid-October.

With these very minor differences between the AP and first Harris polls, did Auburn suffer from starting at #17 in the 2004 AP preseason poll when they spent 8 out of 14 regular season weeks at #3 or #2 and were #8 when the first Harris poll would have come out?
